Project management workshops
Current options also for teams in home office / hybrid teams:

It is important that you keep your project teams together during times of home office!
All project workshops on this page also On-line possible with e.g. MS Teams or other tools!

I have already conducted several project workshops online since 2020. The largest workshop to date was a two-day project kickoff workshop for a large corporation with nearly 50 participants in Europe and the US. Work was carried out in real time across time zones and in up to six parallel subgroups. Short presentations and presentations of workshop results were held in plenary sessions. The participants were surprised by how well everything worked.
In consultation with you, we would be happy to design your project workshop, be it a project kickoff, a stakeholder workshop, or a lessons learned workshop. Such online workshops require more than usual planning to ensure a smooth process. However, this also ensures a successful workshop.
We will work with you to determine the technology to be used and the desired content. When scheduling, certain characteristics of online training must be taken into account, which we will be happy to explain to you and incorporate into the program. Using tools such as MS Teams, groups can work together on concepts and documents in real time.

Implementation of project-related Workshops at home and abroad at the beginning, during the course of projects and at the end of projects.

The workshops
All workshops are in-house workshops, i.e. at the customer’s premises or at a designated venue.

  • Project interim workshops: Inventory, knowledge exchange and joint (re-)orientation
  • Stakeholder management workshops for YOUR project

  • Lessons Learned Workshops during the project or at project completion
We tailor the workshops to your specific needs, conduct them, and create photographic documentation (or more upon request) of the results. Depending on the scope of the workshop, the number of days required for implementation, as well as possibly some time for preparation and follow-up, will be included. Travel time within Germany is not included.

Expansion options for the workshops

PACKT workshops can be conducted (preferably after an internal workshop) with partners (consortium partners, key suppliers, other key stakeholders) and/or with the client. This significantly increases mutual understanding early on, helping to successfully implement projects together.
For long-term projects, it is recommended to repeat such a workshop every 6 - 12 months as a refresher, for example to quickly integrate new team members and work on current topics together.

Stakeholder management workshops

Stakeholders (project participants, project affected parties and interest representatives) play an often underestimated role in many projects. Many projects do not achieve their objectives within the specified framework because the interests of stakeholders were not or not sufficiently taken into account.

For medium-sized and large projects with numerous participants and stakeholders, conducting a dedicated workshop on this topic early on is essential for project success. The project team identifies internal and external stakeholders, assesses their influence, and defines measures for supporting them. A simple monitoring system is agreed upon. In long-running projects, environmental conditions change; in this case, repeating the workshop after approximately one year is recommended.

We have experience in conducting such workshops and can help you to design them systematically and with tangible results. Initially, a duration of 1/2 - 1 day for medium or large projects.

Lessons Learned Workshops

Lessons learned are discussed in many companies. However, it is often the case that
  • experiences are not prepared in such a way that they are comprehensible and accessible to those not involved
  • Lessons Learned workshops take place much too late and participants no longer remember (or want to remember) what caused the respective situation or the people with experience are no longer reachable
  • negative events are not addressed for fear of personal consequences, but from which one could learn particularly usefully
  • there is no open error culture in some parts of the company, which is so important for this process
The independent moderation of a workshop by an experienced moderator makes it possible to specifically identify weak points and to create a platform for employees on which they can present their positive and negative experiences/lessons learned and formulate them with professional support.

Typical duration of a Lessons Learned Workshop:
1-2 days
Our services:
  • Analysis of the initial situation with you
  • Advice on the question of "open error culture"
  • Joint definition of workshop goals
  • Preparation and implementation of the workshop in your company or at another venue
  • Targeted moderation to systematically identify hidden (and therefore often particularly important) lessons learned
  • Documentation and follow-up of the results
Written in American English as "Lessons Learned", in British English the spelling "Lessons Learnt" is common.

Risks & Opportunities Workshops

Risks determine the course of a project. Systematic and continuous risk management is therefore one of the most important tasks in a project. This begins in the acquisition phase, as the project contracts lay the foundation for risk control and mitigation.
Projects harbor a considerable number of risks. Many are known, others are not (yet) known, or are deliberately ignored. Ensure that project risks are systematically identified and assessed from the outset, and that countermeasures are defined and implemented.
Often, it's overlooked to also consider the opportunities within the project. If this happens, it's often only a brief glance at the beginning of the project. Consciously identify opportunities and define measures for their implementation.

We have many years of experience conducting such workshops during the acquisition phase or at the start of a project. We help you design and conduct your workshops systematically and with tangible results. The duration depends on the project size. 1/2 - 2 days.
